Trevor Chaplin comes from a logging family on both sides. He was on a piece of equipment by the time he was about ten years old, and from then on it was the only thing he wanted to do.
“His grandfather once tried to hand him a briefcase and talk him out of it. That did not work.”
He spent years working for family before starting River's Edge Logging and Land Clearing in 2019. The reason was not really about the money. He had his own ideas about how a job should be run, from the first walk of the property through to the day the customer sees the finished ground, and he wanted to be the one calling the shots.
Trevor knows wood. Ask him what is growing on your land and you will get a real answer, whether that is which trees are worth keeping or what the beech around this part of Maine are dealing with. He takes pride in the work and it shows in how a site looks when he pulls off it.
Trevor Chaplin
Runs every job from the first walk of the property to the final cleanup — logging, land clearing, and forestry work across Sebago and the surrounding area.
Brittany
Owns the other half of the business. Runs things behind the scenes — quoting, invoicing, and keeping the whole operation moving while Trevor is out in the woods.
